1: My aim for this project was to make a game of my choice of mythology I had chosen at the start of the project, the genre for the game I wanted to make was an (adventure, beat 'em up game) with mythology being Japanese and Chinese myths, as well as clothing ideas I could use to create a future character for the game, with the art style trying to be like an arcade game. I knew that trying to pull off something like that could be difficult. Still, I wanted to pull it off for my third attempt at construct 3 because I remembered simple coding and sprite-making from learning construct 3. Still, I needed to expand my knowledge of more of what I can do in construct like learning position with x and y and different sprite sizing and fitting into my game without making it look stretched. Behaviors were the biggest part of help learned more about what I can do with sprites.

My knowledge of skills I had at the start of the project compared to now was lacking and I barely knew anything more besides the basic understanding of sprites and code. Still, I could agree that through this project I learned a lot of new things and skills to remember and carry with me through the future. I developed my skills quite better from where they were at the start of learning this type of stuff. For starters, my personal skills improved with the help of some videos teaching me what to do and how to do it, I became a better coder than I was in past projects, mostly improved on coding and actually know what to do, and behaviors and what they do and on how to set them up properly, also know which one does.

When it came to creating something at the start I was a bit clueless but then I remembered what I had done in past projects, like doing assets but this time for my own project. I had to and wanted to expand and try to make something new, In making my first game I wanted the same flow as the new game I wanted to make, enemies to attack, and a path to get to, as well as a tutorial.

2: Looking back at the journals I wrote throughout the weeks I would say I wrote a lot to remember and a lot of history on what I've done as well. But I would say I have spent most of my project time putting someone the work behind and I can admit that was bad and lazy of me to do because the week for this project went fast within a month that it was set to us, but for my next project, I know not to take time for granted and get the work done as early it can be done.

Seeing what I went for compared to the other options I was given in the project, what I would have done differently would have been working on the project daily instead of working only on it at school, yes there was of course apps that I access from home and college but only worked mostly at college, I can agree I'm to blame for the laziness but yes I will still try no matter what to get the work done. The second thing I would properly been way better with the effort and the time with the work I know this whole project those two I lacked the most but I will have to improve that for next time.

3: I would say that a lot of my concept ideas for the game have changed, I know when it comes to making a game everyone would have a lot of ideas but we also know when it comes to near the end of making the game some of the ideas will have to change as well as get cut off because the amount of time we are given. But only a few things changed for me like what I drew my characters and what the website I used only had so I was limited but I managed to do something and made my little character. I had to change King's look and change JJ to Sun Zihao as well as his casual clothes to a kimono while changing Sun Zihao's name as well as his clothes because I thought it would match with the theme for the game so that I was proud of change/evolving on.

The main myth that was mostly going to be one only before deciding to add a second one, it was just going to be Chinese mythology but because the research I did for my contextual analysis was mostly Chinese the myth of the journey to the West, and the second research being when I went to the Young V&A trip, I decided then I want to have two myths instead of one, and the myth that caught my eye was the night parade of hundred demons. This info/research influenced me to make the game I wanted to make.

4: When trying to get the line of sight code to work, I would say that the most difficult part was the coding because, although I watched about three videos on what to do, only one of them actually showed me how to do it. In addition, there is the enemy destruction and the swing attack animation. If you're new to using software and don't know anything about engines, I'd say that Construct has to be the hardest/easiest.

Since I was terrible at creating characters, to be honest, I gave up before really trying, so I didn't want to create my own characters and put them in the game at first. So I used this website, which allows me to make characters if I feel like it, with different requirements for their designs. Although I made about three characters, I really only contributed two.

5: In my opinion, I've come a long way during this project. The abilities that I felt I really needed to use the most were problem-solving, creative thinking, time management, and, most importantly, reflective writing. I have noticed a significant improvement in my writing over the past few weeks, which has greatly benefited my creative thinking. However, I have struggled with time management and need to work on that aspect.

I did my best to thoroughly explain the challenges I faced when trying to learn new things or when encountering issues with tasks I already knew how to do. I also made a note of who to reach out to for help in the future.

6: I was aware from the start that it wouldn't be wise to dedicate too much time to the initial piece I set out to complete, but my original plans included having at least three levels in the game. Ultimately, I only managed to finish the main level and the tutorial level.

I'm not certain if players will understand the game's theme immediately upon playing it, but they should be able to grasp the main idea after clicking on the "How to Play" button. However, I do believe that my game has room for improvement.

7: My game still hasn't received a response, but I would imagine someone would have said something like, "It's good, but you could have done more." I agree that I could have definitely done more with my game. I would mostly agree with the person who plays this game and tested it out, but all I can say is that it's done now and it was fun making it.

8: I would say that out of all the skills I'm good at and can learn and improve, coding is definitely the one I enjoy the most. It's fun to do and learn how to code. It feels like having a superpower that you can use to create or improve anything if you know what to do and how to make it work.

9: I need to improve my time management and art style without depending on external websites. If I were to do the project again, I would start quickly and finish well. I also need to remember to write more details about what happened and how I accomplished different tasks.
